Dear Friends,

After carefully reviewing operating expenses, the Friends of the Library Board determined that maintaining a permanent retail space is no longer the best way to support the Library. Effective July 31, the Friends of the Library Center and Bookshop at 125 Olde Greenwich Drive, Suite 150 in Fredericksburg will end its daily hours and transition to a monthly book sale format. By moving to monthly sales, more of every dollar raised can go directly toward funding Library programs, services, and resources for the community.

The next book sale will take place on August 7-8, and 10-13, from 10:00-6:00 at the 125 Olde Greenwich Drive location. You will still find the same great selection of gently used books at fantastic prices during these special sale dates. Information about future sales will be advertised in Friends News, on our website, and on the Library's website. Book sales at Library branches will continue as usual.

We are excited for this next chapter for Friends of the Library book sales and appreciate your continued support!
