After a relatively quiet and mild June, July brought us both historic celebrations and wild summer weather. I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and that you are staying safe and cool amidst the recent heatwaves and thunderstorms!
The Friends are having a celebration, too--a special preview night for the Super Summer Book Sale, only for current members! Stop by tonight, Friday, July 10, 5:00-8:00, and shop the newest items before everyone else. If you want to bring a friend who isn't a Friend yet, they can join during the event and shop, too! Although the past two Music on the Steps performances had to be moved inside due to weather concerns, the summer concert series rolls on!
