As we approach the end of April, I wanted to share a Membership Month update. As of this morning, 170 people have joined the Friends or renewed their membership for another year. In addition, many of you have increased your level of support by renewing at a higher membership level. I am blown away! Membership dues are used to help fund library events, such as Music on the Steps and the cash prizes for Teen Art Show winners, as well as other important library services. If you haven’t renewed yet, simply click the link below to do so. And please forward this email to any family members, friends, or neighbors who aren’t yet Friends of the Library and tell them they can join by visiting crrlfriends.org.

To close out Membership Month, we will host our annual meeting at Salem Church Branch. The meeting will feature a special performance by local musicians Laurie Rose Griffith and Peter Mealy. “The wife and husband acoustic duo, Laurie Rose Griffith and Peter Mealy, have been performing together for more than two decades, and performed at hundreds of venues up and down the East Coast, including the Kennedy Center, The Summer Olympics,The Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Birchmere, to name a few. Their stylistic range includes Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock, Jazz, Celtic, as well as a large body of award winning original songs.”
